SERVICES

  • vinyasa

My vinyasa yoga classes stretch and strengthen all of the major muscle groups with dynamic breath-to-movement sequencing. Students who take this format should expect fluid physical moments that seamlessly tie together in a balanced, active approach. When I teach vinyasa classes, I offer verbal and physical deepening assists to break down the proper anatomy of each posture with the intention to prevent injury. I like to get creative with my delivery of physical focuses for my vinyasa classes, and teach vinyasa to music with a chill beat.

  • Restorative

Restorative Yoga is is calm, meditative and relaxing. We will work into deeper stretching with the use of a lot of props like blocks, straps, blankets and/or bolsters. Intentional breath work in this format helps you ease into long holds of each posture, rather than muscling your way into the stretch. The intention of this service is to break up fascia, or connective tissue, in the muscular skeletal body. We will dive deeper into the parasympathetic nervous system by focusing on meridian energy lines in this service.

  • Yoga Sculpt

Yoga Sculpt is where high intensity interval training meets contemporary yoga. A light and heavy set of dumbbells are recommended for this service, but if props aren’t accessible I can substitute for bodyweight sets. In this bootcamp-style format, I will push you to your limits by getting you into compound upper and lower body circuits that are set up from familiar yoga postures like warrior two and downward dog. Expect to break a sweat and burn a few hundred calories! I teach this class to upbeat electronic and hip-hop music.

  • Hot Power Fusion

I only offer Hot Power Fusion in public classes at CorePower Yoga. This service requires added humidity. As described on the CPY website: “Hot Power Fusion is a true blend of balance, core strengthening and flexibility. This class combines the meditative, detoxifying qualities of hot yoga with the intensity of power yoga to help you deepen your yoga practice. Set to motivating music, you’ll focus on yoga postures that open the shoulders, hips and spine while strengthening your core and upper body.”
